Are you a PADI Divemaster, Assistant Instructor or Instructor?
It is then time to make sure your membership is renewed for 2010.
You can do that by checking at PADI Pro ChekTM (http://www.padi.com/scuba/prochek/) Just enter your PADI number, or the number for the person you would like to check, and it will tell you if this member is renewed or not.
On February 8th, the access to the PADI pro site will be locked for those who are not renewed. However, it will still be able to renew the membership via this site.

Member activities
Invitation to PADI Programs at the Dive Shows in
Copenhagen, Helsinki and Stockholm.
In 2010 PADI will attend various Dive shows as we have in previous years.
Ferie-09 in Copenhagen, Boat Show at the Helsinki Exhibition Center and Vildmarksmässan in Stockholm are very interesting shows and they are including a Dive Exhibition.
PADI Nordic will as usual conduct programs at the shows, for you as a PADI Member.
Free Entrance in Copenhagen and Stockholm
All renewed PADI Members have free entrance to the shows.
For Copenhagen: Remeber to bring your Divemaster/Instructor C-card and show it to the information/office desk at the main entrance in the exhibition halls.
For Stockholm: More information will follow later.

New PADI programs, standards and training materials as well as other interesting issues related to diving professionals.
The Member Forum is opened for all renewed PADI members. No sign up is required and Member Forum is included as a benefit in your membership.

If you prefer to attend the Member Forum only and arrive max 30 minutes before the Member Forum, please use the South Main Entrance, tell to the tickets counter that you are going to the Ballroom to attend the PADI seminar and show your PADI Instructor/Divemaster card. You will then get a free entrance ticket.
Please take your coats inside the Ballroom.

TecRec training programs seminar in Helsinki, Finland
PADI is organizing TecRec technical diver training presentation during the Helsinki International Boat Show.
The latest development regarding the TecRec training programs are explained and new possibilities are discussed.

PADI and National Geographic Renew PADI National Geographic Diver Program
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA – 16 December 2009 --
Extending their commitment to the popular PADI National Geographic Diver program and support for PADI National Geographic Dive Centers, PADI and National Geographic have renewed the program agreement through 31 December 2011.
The PADI National Geographic Diver program combines the PADI Open Water Diver course with National Geographic specific content in special PADI National Geographic Diver course materials.
Since 2003, PADI is the only international training organization to work closely with National Geographic to provide such training, as well as a network of PADI and National Geographic Dive Centers around the globe.
“We’re committed to continuing this relationship with National Geographic,” said PADI President and COO Drew Richardson, “because the PADI National Geographic Diver program establishes an explorer-scientist mindset. It’s a great way to start out in diving, it gives people reasons to keep diving, and it brings new faces into PADI National Geographic Dive Centers.”

New NG Centre in Sweden
Sweden got the second NG Dive Centre, Oceanic Tech in Stockholm.
After months of preparations and adjustments, the screening was evaluated and in place.
-Since Oceanic tech is very much involved in extreme exploration projects, we are glad to have the right tools to offer a basic start and an introduction for Open Water students in to become Underwater Explorers, says Stefan Hogeborn, Oceanic Tech.
