The Underwater Yahtzee World Record

31st January 2011, a dive store, Dykterminalen, in Helsingborg, Sweden set a new world record with a game of yahtzee!
However, this was not your average game of yathzee, they were playing the game underwater with adult sand tiger sharks, nurse sharks and a guitar shark as well!
The team set the world record by diving with the sharks for 4 hours and 2 minutes and completing a total of 15 games of yahtzee! The team also worked hard to collect over 1000 signatures for the Give Sharks a Fighting Chance campaign.
The aim of the world record challenge was to raise awareness of Project AWARE's Give Sharks a Fighting Chance campaign in Sweden. The team spent time talking with the visitors of Kolmårdens Tropicarium, the aquarium where the event took place, to make them aware of the need to protect our oceans and in particular, the sharks.
This world record was completed by Lelle Toth, Annelie Lövgren, and Mikaela Sjölin and was covered by top Swedish news channels and large Swedish newspapers, including SVT, Sweden’s biggest TV programme!
Congratulations Dyketerminalen and thank you for your support!
