Opening hours during the "Midsummer Weekend"

Due to Midsummer holiday extended weekend in Sweden, PADI Nordic office will close at 13:00 June 18. The office is opening again on Monday June 22.

"Midsummer evening" is an old Swedish tradition when all Swedes are jumping around a pagan pole covered in leaves and flowers, singing about the "small frogs" and demonstrating frog-leaps, of course we all are dressed up in traditional clothing.

I even heard rumours about some people drinking distilled and refined distillates from potato's and other crops, and the females are putting seven different types of flowers underneath the pillow, to dream about the future PADI Diving Instructor they will marry, but it may only be just rumors.

Dive center visits in Norway

Sometimes we are very fortunate to make visits to PADI Dive Centers/Resorts and have the opportunity, not only to meet all fantastic PADI Members, but also to get "wet" and do what we all love to do "GO DIVING".

During the week, Gulen Dykkesenter, just north of Bergen, Norway, hosted a Photo Seminar arranged by Lars Kirkegaard and world famous UW photographer, Alex Mustard.

At the seminar there was of course a lot of opportunities to do fantastic diving and get feedback from the Nordic elite of UW-Photographers.
